Pediatric Patients

Typically on pediatric or mentally disabled patients, anesthesia is started by way of an intramuscular injection (IM), and then an IV is started after sedation is achieved with the IM.  The general anesthesia/deep sedation is given by way of the IV, and the patient is fully monitored continuously throughout the procedure.  Dr. Huynh stays with the patient the entire time the patient is under anesthesia.
